I’ve been seeing lots of unhappy opinions on mako’s POSSIBLE blue fire. I mean in my opinion if he has blue fire its not a big deal. he is a skilled firebender. Seriously, who the fuck else could lightning bend (the bending that requires complete control of the body and mind) whilst beING FUCKING BLOODBENT BY AMON.

Mako you can have any color bending you want !

Here’s the issue that MANY like myself have with the creator’s pet getting blue fire.
Blue fire was UNIQUE to Azula it was grounded into her psyche. Cool collective always within control. Something Zuko didn’t have, something Ozai didn’t have. It was hers her own, her signature. In all likelihood Azula strived to create it to have control and complete control over something her own. She lived to impress her father to stand before her failed brother as the better child. It represented all that Azula was, this coy, calm, calculating girl with everything within her reach. 
Oh and please for the love of all, do not use his godmodding moment. It is not some sign of greatness that he could break Amon’s bending or being praised. That was nothing more than the ‘writers’ being way too close to their project and not able to see flaws in ANYTHING they create. As well as not having anyone to slow them down and help backtrack. Honestly when you can get a man like my father. One I need add loves Water World and willing sits through Battleship to roll his eyes at how ridiculous the scenario is there’s a problem.

I guess the problem with Mako having blue fire is that it was always associated with Azula, i.e., a villain.

I’d agree that Mako is incredibly skilled (since he can redirect and generate lightning), so maybe if he’s given blue fire, he can clear its name. Blue fire was always seen as ‘more efficient’ than normal orange fire, so it maximised output for the least input.

So ultimately? I’m happy that Mako has blue fire.

Blue fire =/= bad person.
Blue fire = skilled person.
